Transforming Memories - Sounds of Freedom Artwork by Vanessa Daly

$580.00

Vinyl records hold the grooves of our past; usually marked by pain, growth, and resilience. But within those experiences lies freedom: the freedom to transform, to create, to choose. This artwork invites us to use our history not as a weight, but as a foundation; inviting us to shape the most beautiful version of ourselves. Every revolution is a chance to begin again.

The original vinyl record used in this artwork is Sounds of Freedom, featuring Abraham Lincoln’s

“House Divided” speech from June 17, 1858, read by Carl Sandburg.

Along the border of the wood panel, Vanessa painted the words “A house united.

” This is a hopeful echo of Abraham Lincoln’s powerful reminder: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
